Land Stewardship is one of our tools to establish agreements with forest owners and forest managers.

The project is based on collaboration between individuals, firms, government entities, sharing a common goal: to improve the situation of mountain forests.
Our scope of work are
mountain forests

are fascinating. Because of their uniqueness are places where the greatest concentration of natural protected areas of Catalonia. The black pine and grouse are two examples of unique flora and fauna representative of these spaces.
In addition to its unique ecological the mountain forests

regulate the water cycle, prevent soil erosion and prevent large floods. In some cases also have a special protective function to the population and infrastructure because they slow down and avoid avalanches falling rocks. For all this, we need the wood .

For their useful functions for the whole of society, these forests were declared as Public Utility since the nineteenth century. Unlike the rest of the Catalan forests, most
mountain forests

are public (municipal or Generalitat). Therefore, look after and conserve these forests is everyone's business. All our work share a common methodology, quality over quantity:

We integrate ongoing projects. The tasks are agreed with local councils (owners forests) and the administration, following its work priorities.
We organized by a project manager who made a previous visit to the technical work and dives for leaders who join us for participants and ensure that work is carried out according to agreed critères. Group leaders receive specific training on technical and safety aspects.

The project participants: they receive instruction in problem solving with each task. It promotes reflection on what the best solution to adopt and how to do it. The group leader guides this process and agrees with all the solution to run.
use hand tools so that participants use only tools and traditional methods of forest work without using any machinery.

All tasks are executed according to criteria of occupational safety. The group leaders are responsible for transmitting these criteria to the participants, while monitoring the safety of the group. All participants have at their disposal the necessary security.

We all benefit from these forests and we are all responsible for them. the mountain forests

are the responsibility of all. No information may replace the experience of working in the forest. Work in the forest is also a job with us. To be is to do and make it be, we are doing and we remain. That is the great gift of the forest.

Our motto is to live and experience the mountain forests in the mountain forests!
